Rose McInnes

Weyburn-Bengough

Rose was born and raised south of Weyburn on a farm. She attended Lake Alma High School and continued on with Gladmar Regional High to graduate in 1985.

Rose married the love of her life Paul McInnes and they have been happily married since 2011. Rose is blessed to have four children and has grandchildren of all ages from 13 and under.

In 2008 Rose attended SIAST Moose Jaw. She graduated as an environmental technologist in 2010 and moved back to Weyburn. From there she worked at the City of Weyburn treatment plant but soon realized that she needed to get back to her passion for the environment.

In 2013 she founded her current business, Blue Earth Environmental & Consulting. It opened with a storefront on main and not only started a second hand store, but offered Weyburn its first curbside recycling program. Their program was the most extensive in the province, hand sorting thousands of unique items.

Her business received a prestigious nomination from the Sask Chamber of Commerce for the ABEX awards in 2014, in her first year of business. Rose accepted two Weybex awards in 2016 for Woman of the Year and also in the category of New or Expanded Business. Since its foundation her business has expanded to three locations.

For the last 10 years, Rose has sat on the CMHA Board of Directors as a member. Her focus is giving tools and mental health education to children in schools. In the last few years it has come to fruition, and they have programming that they present to grade school and high school students.

Rose is always up for a new and exciting challenge and is looking forward to solving local problems and advocating for the constituency of Weyburn-Bengough.
