Doug Forster
Yorkton
Doug Forster is a lifelong resident of Saskatchewan and has witnessed many changes to our province, both good and bad.
His journey began in Esterhazy as the fourth son of a hard-working and proud Saskatchewan family who have always had a passion for giving back to their community. A graduate of Esterhazy High School, Trade School in Moose Jaw, and several self-betterment opportunities, Doug has compiled years of invaluable common sense life experience.
Doug has held several management positions in retail sales, and most recently in the agriculture/retail based petroleum industry. As a small business owner of 18 years, Doug offers a unique perspective into the challenges of doing business in Saskatchewan and has a special appreciation of those who are willing to set up shop in the province.
A 30 year resident of the city of Yorkton, Doug and his partner Teresa have been blessed with a blended family of three sons, two daughters in law, and four wonderful grandchildren.
Doug is a current member of the City of Yorkton Planning Commission, Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Director, and a member of the organizing committee for Rhythm and Ribs with the East Central Health Foundation. He has also served as a Kinsmen and volunteered for many Yorkton community groups and organizations. Gifted with strong communication skills and a dynamic personality, Doug can often be found as the Master of Ceremonies for community events, where he can be heard proclaiming his love for the City of Yorkton “Where Good Things happen”!
Doug Forster would be honored to be your voice for Yorkton in the Provincial Legislature!
